Cooper is the first-ever Wellness Canine for the Verdugo Fire Communications and Glendale Fire Department. He started on February 2023. He loves accompanying his handler to work and brings comfort and smiles. Cooper helps reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression and helps lessen trauma from critical incidents for all employees. K9 Cooper has received his Canine Good Citizen, AKC Community Canine, and AKC Urban Canine certifications. When he is off duty, he loves going on walks, playing ball in his backyard, and chewing on antlers.
